Sisters in Crime gets big coverage in Fairfax Media today (12 February). It’s all thanks to a full-page article by Linda Morris about Dervla McTiernan whose debut novel, The Ruin, is out in April.
Dervla credits being shortlisted in the 2015 Scarlet Stiletto Awards with giving her enough confidence to go through five drafts of the novel which eventually became The Ruin. Dervla will be speaking at a Sisters in Crime event in South Melbourne on 6 April. Click here for details.
Please note a couple of small corrections – Sisters in Crime set up the Davitt Awards 17 (not 16) years ago. Megan Goldin, Cath Ferla, Sarah Bailey and Sara Foster did not receive recognition in the Scarlet Stiletto Awards but over the past 24 years a total of 23 prize winners (including category award winners) have gone on to have crime books published.
