The 25th Davitt Awards ceremony was held on Friday 5 September.
Kelly Gardiner, President, said: I want to make a very special announcement in honour of the 25th year of these awards. This year, it gives me great pleasure to announce that due to the incredible generosity of former convenor Leslie Falkiner Rose and family, and the Ruffin Falkiner Foundation, this year, for the first time, the prize winners will receive not only a beautiful award but also prize money. We hope that this new initiative can continue into the future and Sisters in Crime vow to try to raise funds to properly recognise the incredible women writers in this country.
