When Meeti isn’t busy writing ads that make toothpaste sound like an aphrodisiac, she can be found with a cup of ginger tea, gazing contently at the yellow gulmohars outside her window and plotting the murder of perfectly innocent people.

Meeti’s first book in the Temple Hill series was The Death of Kirti Kadakia, published as A Mumbai Murder Mystery and longlisted for the prestigious CWA New Blood Dagger in 2022 and for the Times of India Author Awards in 2023. Her sleuth is the award-winning novelist, Radhi Zaveri, who returns to Mumbai and lands herself in the midst of a mystery when she discovers that the father of her pregnant best friend had killed himself.

Her second book, A Matrimonial Murder, takes us back to the bustling Temple Hill neighbourhood of Mumbai where fat-cat businessmen conduct high-powered deals while their pampered wives toil behind the scenes, leveraging gossip and innuendo. Radhi is researching arranged marriages – and ends up investigating a murder at Soul Harmony, one the most prestigious matrimonial bureaus in town. The novel was shortlisted for the CWA Whodunnit Dagger 2025, the CWA Short Story Dagger 2025, and the Margery Allingham Short Mystery Prize 2024.
