NOW ONLINE – in conversation with Jacqueline Bublitz

June 8, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Join Readings and Sisters in Crime as we celebrate the release of Before You Knew My Name (Allen & Unwin) by Jacqueline Bublitz.

This is an extraordinary, unputdownable debut novel that explores trauma, connection, and our cultural obsession with dead girls. However this is not just another novel about a dead girl. Before You Knew My Name doesn’t ask whodunnit. Instead, this powerful, hopeful novel asks: Who was she? And what did she leave behind? The answers might surprise you.

Jacqueline will be in conversation with author and Sisters in Crime national convenor, Karina Kilmore.

Jacqueline ‘Rock’ Bublitz is a writer, feminist, and arachnophobe, who lives between Melbourne, Australia and her hometown on the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island. She wrote her debut novel Before You Knew My Name after spending a summer in New York, where she hung around morgues and the dark corners of city parks (and the human psyche) far too often. She is now working on her second novel, where she continues to explore the grand themes of love, loss and connection.

The event was to be live but due to Melbourne’s lockdown, it’s now online. Same time though!

6.30pm Tuesday 8 June

This event is free to attend but bookings are essential. Participants will be emailed a unique zoom link and a password 30 minutes before the event begins on the day of the event.
