This is your chance to hear UK writer Adele Parks on a brief trip to Australia talk about her latest book Lies, Lies, Lies, the portrait of a disintegrating marriage with dark secrets at its heart.
Adele Parks is a bestselling women’s fiction author from the UK. She has sold over 3.5 million copies of the UK editions of her novels and her books have been translated into over 26 languages. Her first novel Playing away, the first of nineteen books, was published in 2000 and everyone of her books has been a bestseller. Lies Lies Lies is no exception. She was born in the North-East of England and studied English at the University of Leicester.
L.A. Larkin (Louisa) was also born in the UK and now lives in Sydney. She writes thrillers, and a dog detective series under the pseudonym Louisa Bennet. Described by James Phelan as ‘a world-class thriller writer’ and praised by authors like Lee Child and Peter James, she is a popular festival panellist and radio guest, and has worked on the organising committee for the Ned Kelly Awards. She is a proud member of Sisters in Crime and teaches thriller writing at the Australian Writers Centre. Her new thriller, Prey, will be published in April 2020 by Bloodhound Books.
Adele Parks will be in-conversation with L. A. Larkin for around 45 minutes, followed by 15 min audience questions and then book sales and signing.
