Hazel Edwards, author of 200 books and most famously her classic children’s book, There’s a Hippopotamus on Our Roof Eating Cake, has returned to crime with an adult murder mystery, Celebrant Sleuth
The timing of her asexual celebrant sleuth book release, just happened to coincide with the changes in same sex marriage laws and the attention on weddings and celebrants in January/February this year. But she started her book two years earlier because a versatile celebrant interested her as a character device for moving across cultures.
The book has became unexpectedly topical. Hazel will be in conversation with celebrant Sally Cant at 6.30pm Wednesday 21 March, at the Camberwell Bowls Club Function Rooms, 14 Bowen St, Camberwell. All welcome.
