About the authors:

Vikki Wakefield writes YA fiction and adult crime fiction. Her work includes award-winning novels All I Ever Wanted, Friday Brown, In between Days, and Ballad for a Mad Girl, and her latest YA novel This Is How We Change the Ending was long-listed for The Stella Prize and awarded the 2020 CBCA Book of the Year, Older Readers. After You Were Gone, a psychological thriller, is her first novel for adults. Vikki lives and writes in Adelaide, where she is working on her second adult thriller.

Mercedes Mercier writers ‘just-one-more-page’ crime with twisting plots and relatable characters. As well as writing books, Mercedes works in the criminal justice system, providing her unique insight into the world of prisons, crime and offenders. After a brush with death, Mercedes decided to throw herself into life. She lived overseas, became a black belt in Karate, skydived, and volunteered with animals. Her first crime fiction novel is White Noise. She is currently writing her second novel, to be published in 2023.

Nina D. Campbell’s first novel, Daughters of Eve, was published by Allen and Unwin in March 2022. She studied theatre and literature at university before stumbling into the world of work in the midst of the recession that we had to have. Nina worked as a professional writer, across the community and public sectors, before a midlife health challenge changed her priorities. Nina now writes fiction full-time, with a focus on stories about strong women. Together with her partner and their spirited Jack Russell Terrier, she lives in Adelaide’s south, close to world class wine regions, sparkling beaches and other tempting delights.
