2023 Annual General Meeting

Sisters in Crime Australia Inc. takes great pleasure in inviting members to attend its Annual General Meeting which will follow its Killing Time event on Friday 13 October 2023, 9.30 pm, at the Rising Sun Hotel, 2 Raglan St., South Melbourne. It will run for approximately 15 minutes.

If you are unable to attend in person, here is a proxy form. To be quorate we need to have 10% of members represented, so completing a proxy form would be most appreciated.

The AGM will hear reports from Treasurer Lesley Gillis and Secretary Carmel Shute. Financial reports will be circulated on the night.

The meeting will vote for a National Committee of six convenors including four officers (President, Secretary, Vice-President, and Treasurer). Monthly meetings are held in Melbourne and all committee members are expected to attend.

Each committee member will chair a sub-committee with actions and responsibilities that deliver value to members and progress the strategic plan of Sisters in Crime. The work is rewarding and extremely valuable to women who write and all those who read, watch, and listen to crime stories but we can’t pretend it’s not time-consuming.

Nominations for the National Committee close on Thursday 12 October 2023, 9 pm . To nominate, please complete this form and return it to the Secretary by the closing date.
