Summer of Mystery

April 24, 2022 @ 11:00 am 4:00 pm

Ticket prices: $6.25 to $18.58 (including Eventbrite commission)

Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun until Sunday 27 February. Now extended to Saturdays and Sundays for the public until Sunday 24 April.

The Summer of Mystery literary crime exhibition celebrates women crime writers and fictional crime fighters.

Do you have the qualities of logic and deduction to become a sleuth? This summer why not explore your criminal imagination and learn to plot a fictional murder. We are celebrating women crime writers and fictional crime fighters. Enjoy an immersive recreation of mystery and mayhem in the historical setting of The Heights and join us for a Summer of Mystery.

The display features costumes and props from the world of Miss Phryne Fisher, and her niece Peregrine, and recreates scenes from well-known crime novels, showcasing both historical and living authors.

The Summer of Mystery showcases a host of award-winning authors of crime writers, including Sisters in Crime members Lindy Cameron and Lucy Sussex, Sulari Gentill and her artist sleuth Rowland Sinclair, Kerry Greenwood creator of Phryne Fisher and Corinna Chapman, Katherine Kovacic, and her art historian sleuth Alex Clayton and now the writer of the Miss Fisher Modern Murder Mysteries, together with the Bellarine Peninsula’s very own Dorothy Johnson and her ‘Sea Change novels, Meg Mundell’s soon to be filmed The Trespassers, and Emma Viskic and her ‘outsider’ P.I. Caleb Zelic.

And there will be the Trust Trail of Mystery to keep the kids busy.
